Upon arrival at night to Tel Aviv IBMT representative will be waiting for you at the airport and transfer you to your hotel in Netanya for overnight. We will arrange a light dinner in each room upon arrival for all the travellers. (Dinner)



11 Oct 2018 | Thursday | Caesarea | Muchraka | Megiddo | Nazareth | Cana | Tiberias

Our first full day of touring begins with a visit to the ruins of ancient Caesarea and continues with a drive over the crest of Mount Carmel to see the site where Elijah the Prophet overcame the Prophets of Baal in the name of the God of Israel. Next is Megiddo, the Armageddon of the Book of Revelation. Afternoon drive to Nazareth where Jesus lived for most of the first 30 years of his life visiting the Basilica of the Annunciation, the Synagogue Church. Then we drive on to Cana in Galilee, the scene of the wedding feast described in John chapter 2. Finally, we arrive at the Sea of Galilee and check into our hotel for dinner and overnight in Tiberias. (Breakfast & dinner)


12 Oct 2018 | Friday Sea of Galilee | Capernaum | Tabgha | Mount of Beatitudes | Magdala

We begin the day with the visits in the Sea of Galilee, an area which is rich in memories of the three years of Jesus ministry around its shores.  After a boat ride on Sea of Galilee, we continue with Capernaum which was a fishing village where Jesus started his earthly ministry and chose 5 of his disciples. We shall visit the ancient synagogue where Jesus preached and performed many signs and wonders and the remains of the humble house of Peter where Christ lived during his stay in Capernaum over which a church has been built. Next, we come to Tabgha with the Church of the Feeding of the 5000 and the Chapel of the Primacy.

The Mount of Beatitudes, the scene of the Sermon on the Mount, is next on our itinerary. Then we come to Magdala, the birthplace of Mary Magdalene, where a first century synagogue has been uncovered as well as the remains of an important first century port city from which fish was exported for the Temple in Jerusalem. This is followed by a visit to the famous fishing boat which has become known as the “Jesus Boat” Before returning to our hotel and overnight in Tiberias. (Breakfast & dinner)


13 Oct 2018 | Saturday Yardenit | Jerusalem Old City

Today after breakfast we depart the Sea of Galilee and our first visit this day is to the Yardenit baptismal site where there is the opportunity to be baptized in the waters of the River Jordan. This is a great way to enter the Holy City of Jerusalem, we will drive on through the Jordan Valley passing the ancient site of Gilgal, located on the eastern border of Jericho, where the Children of Israel, under Joshua, encamped after crossing the Jordan River.  As we enter Jerusalem we will drive to the Mt. of Olives, from which Jesus ascended to heaven after his resurrection. From the top of the Mount there is a magnificent view over all ancient and modern Jerusalem, the center of the biblical world. We visit the holy shrines on the Mount and walk on down the “Palm Sunday Road” visiting the Chapel of Dominus Flevit (Jesus wept). En-route to the Garden of Gethsemane and the Church of All Nations where Christ prayed on the night of his betrayal (Lk. 22:40-46). Next, we shall enter within the old walled city of Jerusalem and walk in the footsteps of our Lord as he bore the burden of our sins to the Cross at Golgotha. We visit the Pools of Bethesda and walk on along the Via Dolorosa, following the 14 Stations of the Cross from the Gabbatha or Lithostros or Pilate’s Judgement Seat to the Church of the Holy Sepulcher. In the afternoon we shall visit the last standing remnant of the ancient Temple at the Western (Wailing) Wall. Dinner and overnight Jerusalem.

14 Oct 2018 | Sunday Jerusalem | New city | Bethlehem

The day begins with a visit to the Israel Museum with the Shrine of the Book, where the Dead Sea Scrolls are preserved, and the model of the 2nd Temple period Jerusalem. Passing by the Knesset we drive to the Yad Vashem Museum of the Holocaust which preserves the memory of the 6 million victims of the Shoah. After lunch we shall visit the Mt. Zion with the Upper Room and the Church of St. Peter in Gallicantu which is built over the Palace of Caiaphas, the High Priest, before whom Jesus was brought for trial and sentenced to death. Beside the Church we shall see the “Roman Steps” which were probably used by Jesus and his disciples on the day of his arrest in the Garden of Gethsemane. Proceed to Bethlehem * to visit the Church of the Nativity.
Dinner and overnight in Jerusalem. We return to our hotel for dinner and overnight. (Breakfast & dinner)


15 Oct 2018 | Monday Dead Sea | Masada | Qumran | Jerusalem

After breakfast time permitting we will enjoy the unique sensation of a “float” in the unsinkable Dead Sea. Drive to Masada and ascend by cable car to top of it. Continue to Qumran where the Dead Sea Scrolls where found in 1947 by a Bedouin boy. Visit the ancient city of Qumran.  Then to Jerusalem, the “city of God” and to take a first glimpse of the Holy City from one of the heights around the city. Finally, this day we check into our hotel in Jerusalem for dinner and overnight. (Breakfast & dinner)



16 Oct 2018 | Tuesday Free day at Leisure | Jerusalem

A day on your own to explore the Old city of Jerusalem and shop at the Arab bazar. Dinner and overnight Jerusalem. (Breakfast & dinner)



17 Oct 2018 | Wednesday | Tel Aviv | Istanbul / Canakkale / Troy / Canakkale

Arrive in Istanbul Airport. Meet & Greet by the tour guide. We begin our scenic drive to Gallipoli, a pleasant drive that takes us through the European (Thracian) lands of Turkey. Cross over the Dardanelles by ferry boat. Arrive to the ancient city of Troy (Acts 16:8-11, cp. 2 Cor. 2:12-13, Acts 20:6-12, 2 Tim. 4:13), with its 4,000-year old history which recalls the epic struggle of the Iliad, Overnight in the area of Troy. Dinner and overnight at Troia Tusan Hotel, 4 stars  www.troiatusanhotel.com or similar. 18 Oct 2018 | Thursday | Canakkale / Pergamon / Izmir

After breakfast we begin our drive towards the Aegean and Izmir. Along the way we will stop at the hauntingly beautiful Pergamum (Rev. 1:11; 2:12) where the first Christian was put to death by the Roman state. Visit the site, ancient ruins of the Asclepion an ancient medical health center, the Red Basilica, which was built for the Egyptian gods and goddess during the Roman era and it was converted into a Christian Basilica and dedicated to St. John during Byzantine era. We will visit the Acropol, the steepest theatre of the ancient world, the Temple of Trojan, and the Library. We continue on to Izmir for dinner and overnight.  Dinner and overnight at Ramada Plaza Izmir Hotel, 4 Star or similar.

19 Oct 2018 | Friday | Izmir / Ephesus / Izmir

After breakfast drive to Ephesus, famous for its Temple of Artemis - one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World. We travel to the nearby town of Selcuk for a visit to the Basilica of St. John, housing an immersion baptismal and believed to be resting place of John. From here we have an excellent overview of the Ephesus harbor and the Temple of Artemis, completed in its most famous phase around 550 BC and listed as one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World. You will also visit the ruins of Council Church also known as Mary’s Church, within the Ephesus ruins, where 2 very important early Christianity was held. Next, we travel a short distance down the hill to visit the Mosque of Jesus (Jesus is a respected prophet to Muslims). A wealth of artifacts awaits us at the nearby Museum of Ephesus. We spend the remainder of our day in Ephesus (Acts 18:19-24; 19:1-35; 20:16-17; 21:29, I Cor. 15:32; 16:8, I Tim. 1:3 II Tim. 1:18; 4:12, Rev. 1:11, 2:1), the city of the Bible and one of the largest restorations still in progress with miles of ancient treasures. Ephesus was once a thriving port town of 250,000 people. Today you can still see the spectacular excavations of the major streets in this ancient city where we view the Library, Agora, theatre, colorful mosaics, a panoramic view of the surrounding ancient port area including a wealth of church history and cultural insight. After breakfast we will drive to the Adnan Menderes Airport to catch our morning flight to Istanbul.  Upon our arrival in Istanbul we will transfer to our connection flight back home. (Breakfast)
